It was a day in the Indian parliament
when the democracy was stripped naked
The constitution was put to sleep
by the corrupt political lullaby
She stood alone, amidst her "potent" sons
arguing to whom she belonged
to them who are possessed by power
or to them who looked at her with lust
"I Bought Her!", some proclaimed
showing up with a bag of money
"I did not sell her Yet !" , others shouted
and the nasty show went on
The shouts of Shame rocked the temple
but whose was the shame?
the one disrobed, shivering, unattended-
is not she the mother of all?
The media covered her nakedness
and showed it to the rest of the world
cores of her sons watched and enjoyed
some murmured but none stood awake
Foundation was laid for a new temple
The worshippers of corruption, installed
Written on the whipped back of democracy
is the preamble of a new constitution
