Saraswati

When the mighty winds of ignorance
Would shatter the windows of
My mind at peace
Come to my rescue ‘O’ Mother and
Set me free

When my senses begin to betray
And begin to drive me,
To an unknown shore
You would come and steer my boat
Towards the aim, in the disturbed sea

When serpents of lust and greed
Would spread their poisonous hood
And begin to poison me
Let me rest in they lap
Rest assured I will be

When scary dark nights
Seem to be endless and
Mark of light no where to see
Shoo away the ugly, restless bats hanging
To the branches of my mind’s tree

When cruel intentions would prey on me
Make me blind, deaf and dumb
Towards the light and the voice of truth
Pluck the strings of thy Veena and
Evil intentions would nothing but flee

‘O’ Dispeller of Evil, Giver of light
Repository of knowledge,
‘O’ Mother Bright

At the Fragrance of thy lotus feet

Heart and soul I surrender to thee
Heart and soul I surrender to thee,
‘O’ Mother Saraswati
